Description
Mortal Kombat – Unchained is a fighting game that brings the Mortal Kombat experience to the PlayStation Portable (PSP). Originally developed by Midway, this is an updated version of Mortal Kombat: Deception which was released on PS2, Xbox, and GameCube in 2004 and 2005. The PSP version was released in November 2006 and has some new features designed for portable gaming.
This has 26 playable characters, 9 of which are new to the series. Along with the traditional one-on-one fighting mechanics, the game has puzzle kombat and chess kombat modes to add some variety and depth to the gameplay.
Gameplay
Mortal Kombat – Unchained is classic Mortal Kombat gameplay with one-on-one battles. 26 fighters to choose from, each with their own fighting style, moves, and fatalities. Characters can switch between two martial arts styles and a weapon combat style during fights. Plus traditional fighting, we have Chess Kombat where you battle on a chessboar,d and Puzzle Kombat a Tetris-style mini-game with Mortal Kombat themes. And Konquest Mode, an adventure mode with story and exploration.
The PSP version offers local multiplayer functionality and fast-paced battles with smooth controls, making it a portable yet complete Mortal Kombat experience.
